"Take Us For Granite!"

Once you have decided upon the design of your kitchen, bathroom, or other area where you would like to have natural stone, you can bring your drawings in and a preliminary estimate can be made. After that is done, there are a few more things for you to consider, such as: back splashes, edges, choosing a color, and picking the slab(s) that you desire.

Back splashes can be done in many different ways. A 4” backsplash is standard. A different type is a full back splash, which reaches the bottom of the upper cabinets from the base of the counter top, or you can customize the back splashes the way you prefer them.

Edges come in many different varieties. The laminated edge has an extra layer of stone laminated to the bottom of the existing edge to create the illusion of more depth. The 3⁄4” edge is the actual thickness of the stone and is also the less labor intensive of the two. There are many different shapes of edges, such as: eased, beveled, bullnose, chiseled and ogee just to name a few. All of the shapes of the edges come in both laminated, which is approximately 1 1⁄2” to 2 1⁄4” thick, and the 3⁄4” thick options. The edges mentioned above along with others are on display in our showroom.

Choosing the color of stone and picking the slab(s) that you desire can be done at any time in the process once we have determined how many slabs will be needed. You may select your slab(s) at our shop or at the supplier of your choice. The exact slab(s) that you select will be brought to our shop, if selected elsewhere, and we will store them until the fabrication process begins. While you are choosing your slab(s) there are a few things that you will need to keep in mind; all natural stone is formed by nature and is unique in it’s own way. There are no two slabs that are identical. We vein and color match as much as possible, but given the color variations in some stones it may not be possible to carry the color through completely in all areas of the project, especially in the seams. Although this adds to the natural beauty of the stone, we ask that you pick your own slab(s) to ensure your satisfaction with the individual variations in the slab(s).

A typical slab is 9’ x 5’, although some slabs are smaller and thus may require more of them to complete your project. We will discuss this in more detail when you decide that you would like for us to work with you on your project.

Once you have chosen your back splashes, edges, chosen the color of your stone, selected the slab(s) you desire, and the cabinets are set, the estimate can be verified if necessary. Also at this time we can make the templates for each top, which we use in the fabricating process. Once the templates have been made the fabrication process begins, which is done completely at our facility and takes approximately 10 or more business days, depending upon the size of your project. Using state of the art equipment, our knowledgeable staff fabricates your stone with precision and care for every detail. When we are laying out the templates on the slab(s) to start the cutting process our goal is to maximize the use of the stone and minimize the seams. You are more than welcome to identify any particular part of the slab(s) that you would like to be placed in a certain area. We will accommodate you as much as possible while minimizing the waste of stone.

Once the fabrication process is completed, your granite will be delivered and installed by our knowledgeable installation crew, using state of the art equipment designed specifically for installation.

Once your granite is installed, it is ready to be admired and enjoyed for a life time.
